16 days to go

Thursday, April 2, 2009

Looking back it's hard to think that it's been that long since we found out we were expecting. With 16 days left it's all excitement and anticipation. We are all set for K to be here. S's work had a diaper party for us and we got so many diapers that I don't think we're ever going to need new born diapers again. Good thing people got us different sizes or we would be really screwed and have way to many new born diapers. So now that everything is set, at home and at work, the waiting game has begun. As long as he keeps moving we are good to keep him in there.

Yesterday was April Fool's, as everyone knows, a day when things are suppose to be happy and light and everyone gets a kick out of life. A day that S was looking forward to all of March but turned into a downer. Early Wednesday morning S's dad called with news that is mom's grandma had passed away. When I woke up, he goes into work really early and he got the news while there, he called and told me and was really sad we hadn't been able to make it up to Alaska to see them. So to cheer him up, after we got the tires changed and went shopping for E's Easter stuff, we took him out to Peter Piper Pizza. He's a kid at heart and loved playing the games with E. While shopping for a birthday present for this weekend we found a really good deal on the Office Season 4. S has been looking for it for so long and when we saw they had a great deal on it (saved over 50%) we had to buy it. I think that really made his night when we sat on the couch watching it.

We are in the process of finding new housing since our lease on the townhouse is up the end of May and we still haven't heard anything about the job in Oklahoma, since there's a hiring freeze. We are going today after work to look at some other townhouses that seem to be a lot nicer then the ones we are in now. Up side to that is we don't have to deal with the realtor anymore, since he's a jerk to us, and we get to have our dogs with us. I'm a little nervous about having them with the baby but am sure once their use to each other it's going to be great. The first place has a dog park close by so we can take them there after work without a problem. I was hoping to find a three bedroom house cheaply but it's Flagstaff so I don't think that will be an option. I guess anything is better then what we're in now.
